Position: 2025-26 Campus Monitor/Office Assistant-Blevins Middle School

2025-26 Campus Monitor/Office Assistant – Blevins Middle School

Position will close on January 9, 2026. This role requires 4 hours per day as a Campus Monitor and 3 hours per day as a School Office Assistant.

Pay Range:

  • Campus Monitor: $19.86–$22.24 per hour (min salary +12%)
  • School Office Assistant: $19.88–$22.27 per hour (min salary +12%)

Hours per Day: 7 total (4 hrs campus, 3 hrs office)

SUMMARY (Campus Monitor): Responsible for monitoring students on high‑school and middle‑school campuses and buildings. Report and/or resolve incidents that may jeopardize the health, safety, or welfare of any student or employee in accordance with district policies, procedures, and building rules.

SUMMARY (Office Assistant): Under direct supervision, perform entry‑level clerical duties for a school, including answering and routing calls, greeting and directing visitors, typing correspondence, maintaining files, entering data, and operating office equipment.

JOB TASKS (Campus Monitor):

  • Assist building administrators in maintaining campus control, safety, and student behavior, including monitoring halls, unsupervised areas, and high‑school parking lots.
  • Supervise students assigned to in‑school suspension, detention, removed from class, or taking make‑up tests; delegate consequences as determined by administration. Prepare reports and contact parents as necessary.
  • Determine status of visitors to campus. Monitor parking lots and discourage student loitering.
  • Notify building administrators of student rule violations; may accompany rule violators to the front office. Consult with administrators regarding student safety and security concerns.
  • Supervise activities sponsored by the school including athletic events, dances, theatre productions, and music/vocal concerts as necessary.
  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Cooperate with School Resource Officers (SROs) by investigating incidents and providing information as necessary.
  • Assist building administrators and SROs during emergency situations and evacuation drills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB TASKS (Office Assistant):

  • Type correspondence, newsletters, forms, and memos; enter data into the student information system.
  • Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries; greet, direct, and assist visitors.
  • Assist school secretary and/or office manager with projects as requested.
  • Monitor and enter student attendance data; contact parents if needed.
  • Maintain filing and record‑keeping system.
  • Sort and distribute mail; assist with mass mailings.
  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Provide first aid and administer student medications, adhering to district and state procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and building use; set up and prepare rooms for meetings as needed.
  • May monitor students in the office and hallways.
  • Assist with registering students and maintaining cumulative records.
  • Provide purchasing card services for staff and site.
  • Assist with student environmental and wellness activities and student count.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED (Campus Monitor):

  • High‑school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED (Office Assistant):

  • High‑school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • Successful completion of First Aid and CPR, and Administering Medications in a School Setting. If not currently certified, completion must occur at earliest convenience after hire.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
