The Landline Company

The Landline Company ()is revolutionizing air travel by bridging the gap between regional communities and major airline hubs. We partner with top airlines like American and Air Canada to offer innovative multimodal connections across North America. We’ve launched a first-of-its-kind remote terminal checkpoint to expand the reach of major metro airports into local neighborhood checkpoints. Our luxury motorcoaches replace short flights with a faster, more sustainable alternative—reducing costs, addressing pilot shortages, and enhancing passenger journeys.

The Role:

We are looking for a Crew Scheduler to keep our operations staffed and running on time. As part of our System Operations Center (SOC), you’ll build and maintain schedules for our CDL Motorcoach drivers and operations staff, manage the scheduling window beyond 48 hours, coordinate coverage before gaps become problems, and as needed run the dispatch desk. You’ll be the primary scheduling link between the SOC and our Operations leaders.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, thinks ahead, communicates clearly, and stays calm when plans change.

The Role Will:
  • Build and maintain schedules for drivers and operations staff across our station locations
  • Manage the scheduling window beyond 48 hours, making sure upcoming trips and shifts are fully staffed
  • Monitor upcoming coverage and identify open shifts, gaps, and potential issues early
  • Coordinate coverage solutions with Operations leaders, including shift swaps, reassignments, and overtime when needed in a 365 24/7 environment
  • Review future schedules for conflicts, such as overlapping time off, hours-of-service limits, and qualification gaps
  • Keep scheduling information accurate and up to date, and make sure changes are communicated promptly to the right people
  • Work the dispatch desk as needed, including supporting drivers, handling day-of assignments and changes, and keeping trips moving on time
  • Support the employee quarterly bid process, including communicating timelines, processing bids, and publishing awarded schedules
  • Prepare staffing and scheduling reports that track hours used versus hours scheduled and highlight open positions, uncovered work, overtime and coverage concerns, and upcoming risks
  • Serve as the primary scheduling point of contact between the SOC and Operations leaders
  • Help develop, document, and standardize scheduling procedures as we grow
What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in crew scheduling, workforce scheduling, or dispatch, ideally in transportation, aviation, or another 24/7 operation
  • Comfortable working in person in a fast-paced, frontline environment and switching between planning work and real-time operations
  • Experience scheduling a shift-based, hourly workforce across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA hours-of-se rvice rules a plus
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with scheduling or workforce management software
  • Comfort working with staffing data and turning it into clear, actionable reports
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with frontline leaders under time pressure
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive about spotting problems before they happen
  • Experience supporting a schedule bid process a plus

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: 30/hr

  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off
  • Flight benefits through our airline partners
  • Company-paid life insurance
Location:
