• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule.
• Prepare individualized programs of instruction, classroom materials, curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.
• Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one situations.
• Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students' assignments and assessments.
• Create an environment maximizing instructional opportunity, supervise behavior and well‑being, and administer discipline when appropriate.
• Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in varied ways and use data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
• Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
• Communicate student progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Demonstrate commitment to inclusivity, family engagement, district policies, and professional excellence.
• Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings; student and family conferences; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; professional growth opportunities.
• Attend work and arrive punctually.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
• Valid Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization with appropriate endorsements.
• Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
• Criminal background check required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

• The substitute must have a valid Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization.
• This position will close on the Poudre School District job board on 12/22/2025.
