WDL is in search of an experienced Wedding/Event Planner to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Adjunct Instructor.
Qualifications- Must have a Wedding/Event Planner education and accompanying certification.
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Wedding/Event Planner field.
- Must currently be working in the Wedding/Event Planner field and remain employed in the field for the length of the contract.
- Provide quality assurance and oversight to the instructor assistant; monitor students' progress and interact with them as needed.
- Answer any questions from the assistant within 1 business day.
- Answer any questions from the Dean of Faculty, curriculum, or other departments within 1 business day.
- Review set lessons and corresponding quizzes quarterly, verifying content accuracy and relevance; provide a Word document with findings.
- Complete a quarterly phone call with your assistant to discuss review findings and industry standards updates.
- Every 3 years, conduct an Academic Review of the entire program for the curriculum department (separate contract). This generally takes about 30 hours over 4 weeks.
- Provide verification of education, certifications/licenses, work experience, and proof of 6 hours of professional development yearly.
- On average, work 4 hours per quarter as a contractor in the instructor/SME role.
Contractors sign a yearly contract with a stipend of $900/year plus additional compensation for working on course revisions and projects with curriculum and other departments as needed.
