Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a project manager with a background in geology or hydrogeology. The ideal candidate will join our Solid Waste Team to provide municipal, industrial, and commercial clients with effective, responsive, and safe solutions for their operations and for the environment.

Now more than ever, the world needs smart, cutting-edge solutions to address environmental and engineering challenges. As a member of our team, you will support our clients, from Fortune 100 companies to the federal government, to local communities, in continuously improving human health and the environment.

As a project manager, you will independently manage environmental projects, many of which will be related to municipal solid waste landfills in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado. Your responsibilities will include scoping, scheduling, cost estimating, and staff management as well as providing technical support for environmental assessment, remediation, and ongoing groundwater monitoring projects. Typical project sites include active, closed, and new landfill sites, including some that require remediation.

Services related to this role include routine environmental monitoring and reporting, site characterization, groundwater assessment, and remediation design and implementation.

The role also involves working as part of a team to evaluate hydrogeologic conditions, prepare conceptual site models, design investigation programs, and assist with the design and ongoing compliance monitoring of groundwater networks and landfill gas systems. Additionally, there will be opportunities to assist with facility siting, permitting, and the design and implementation of a wide variety of remediation systems such as interceptor trenches, groundwater extraction/treatment, landfill gas extraction, and enhanced bioremediation systems.

This position also requires supporting preparation of technical proposals and supporting business development and marketing efforts to grow Trihydro’s business. You will serve as a technical mentor to junior staff and will have the opportunity to advance into a leadership position within the company.

The preferred candidate will be based in our Laramie, WY, Lander, WY, or Ft. Collins, CO office.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis of groundwater monitoring data at RCRA facilities preferred, but not required

  • Commitment to growing Trihydro’s business and supporting office culture
