OverallPurpose
To design, coordinate, and produce detailed drawings for mechanical systems, facilitating prefabrication and installation while ensuring project success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Must use Fabrication CADmep to detail jobs.
- Must be able to download shop drawings to fabrication shop.
- Must communicate with engineers and field foremen.
- Must help project managers review submittals.
- Must order materials from CAD-generated material lists.
- Must find the cleanest and most cost‑effective route for all systems.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, spreadsheet maintenance, file and record management, and other office procedures.
Performance StandardsExcellent communication skills in both oral and written forms, active listening, problem solving, critical thinking, and management of personnel resources. Ability to understand the implications of new information for current and future problem‑solving and decision‑making.
Qualifications- High School Diploma required.
- 2–3 years related experience; 3–5 years field foreman experience preferred.
- Willingness to attend Fabrication CADmep, AutoCAD and Revit training.
- Ability to read and understand all construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to read and review all submittals and make corrections.
- Ability to verify existing conditions on a job site.
- Position largely sedentary with some walking, bending, and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and employment verification.
