Mid-level Environmental Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a Mid-level Environmental Compliance Specialist (Environmental Compliance Specialist III) to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance team. The role supports clients across sectors such as industrial, high‑tech, oil & gas, and municipal environments with their environmental regulatory compliance needs.
This hybrid position can be based in our Cincinnati, OH, Fort Collins, CO or Minneapolis, MN offices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multi‑media environmental compliance across solid and hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, stormwater, and chemical use and management.
- Interpreting regulations (Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Air Act, etc.) and recording data for compliance analysis.
- Performing compliance inspections and audits.
- Developing corrective measures, procedures, and best management practice recommendations.
- Preparing environmental reports, permits, and plans (Tier II / TRI, NPDES, RCRA, SPCC).
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, client stakeholders, and site personnel.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Environmental Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of multi‑media environmental compliance experience.
- Capacity to travel 30% nationally.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship.
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes for oil & gas or industrial clients, consulting background, environmental auditing experience, and certifications such as CPEA, CHMM, CSP, or ASP.
Compensation range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually. Location options:
Cincinnati, OH;
Fort Collins, CO;
Minneapolis, MN.
