The PositionSenior Pre-Operative Technician at Panorama Eyecare will play a pivotal role in delivering the best eyecare. The RoleSenior Pre-Operative Technicians are expected to demonstrate full proficiency in Core Pre-Surgical Technician responsibilities. This role also requires the ability to interpret and apply diagnostic data to support the provider in making informed Refractive Surgery decisions to ensure a streamlined, accurate, and positive encounter for the ophthalmic patient, provider, and surgical team.
- Efficiently and accurately perform necessary ophthalmic testing (including but not limited to Biometry, Keratometry, Topography) needed for cataract surgery calculations.
- Demonstrate competency in answering patient questions regarding intraocular lens implants, surgical procedures, and post-operative medications.
- Utilize diagnostic test results to guide patient-centered, realistic IOL discussions that support understanding and surgical decision-making.
- Complete surgical charts and perform all necessary calculations, ensuring readiness for final lens selection by the provider.
- Partner with leadership and peers to deliver comprehensive training to new team members, supporting a smooth transition into their roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 3 months of employment.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office and in electronic health records is preferred.
- Role is suitable for CNA, MA, etc. (preferred, but not required).
- Demonstrated proficiency in ophthalmic testing (Biometry, Keratometry, Topography); successful completion of competency assessment is mandatory.
- Proficiency in basic clinical math, with the ability to analyze numerical data and apply it to clinical workflows (e.g., cataract lens calculations).
- COA preferred.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to raise hands and arms to shoulder level without restriction or discomfort.
- Ability to use phones, computer terminals, and diagnostic equipment for extended periods without pain.

Full-Time. - Compensation: $26.25-$33.00 per hour, based on experience/certification.
