Join the Poudre School District’s Information Technology Department as a Systems Administrator II. The role supports and leads enterprise systems including server OS, data storage, email, cloud services, security, and endpoint devices while ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
SummaryResponsible for the operation, maintenance, and planning of enterprise technical systems. Implements system design, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and daily monitoring to prevent downtime and service outages.
Key Responsibilities- Work with leadership to develop and maintain a long‑term technology roadmap aligned with the district’s strategy.
- Collaborate across teams to address complex technical challenges and ensure alignment with district initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge‑base articles.
- Perform daily system monitoring including integrity, security, availability of hardware, virtual environments, and services; review logs and verify scheduled jobs.
- Manage endpoint devices: configuration, deployment, patching, upgrades.
- Administer Microsoft O365 suite (Azure, Security, Compliance, Identity, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
- Administer Google Workspace services (security, compliance, identity, Drive, Docs, etc.).
- Oversee email, eDiscovery, and legal compliance systems.
- Mentor and develop level 1 system administrators; drive process improvement.
- Prioritize and manage project tasks; ensure timely delivery and maintain documentation.
- Use problem‑solving and analytical skills to root‑cause and resolve technical issues.
- Translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences, communicating solutions and business impact.
- Provide consultative support to users, resolving issues efficiently.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current on industry trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Six years of progressive related experience.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
Pay Range: $102,322 – $114,601 based on qualifications and experience.
Hours:
8/day, 260 work days per year, ongoing position. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short and long‑term disability, employee walk‑in clinic, and optional benefit elections.
