RN - Med Surg
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Performs patient assessments, administers treatments, monitors clinical status, and coordinates care with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
1–2 years of medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience preferred.
Experience caring for post-surgical and medically complex patients is preferred.
Licenses &
Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients’ conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and other prescribed interventions safely.
Provide wound care, post-operative care, and assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
