American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate certification.
Requirements- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and vaginal delivery support
- Experience with fetal monitoring including EFM, spiral electrode placement, and IUPC placement and calibration
- Experience caring for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, and preterm labor
- Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Birthing Center, averaging 100-200 births per month
- Unit has 16 staffed beds with a 1:3 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:00), various days of the week
- Required to work every third weekend
- On-call required per unit needs
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to like units and sister facilities within the North region
- Epic charting system used
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
- Assist with neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Support postpartum recovery including couplet care, lactation support, and wound assessment
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Facility holds Magnet designation for nursing excellence
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during specific weeks
- No blocked scheduling requests permitted
- Previous UCHealth employees must disclose name used during employment for eligibility verification
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
