Join Stantec’s Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team in Oregon and Washington. We are seeking innovative and motivated team members to help grow our cultural resources program, which currently supports a variety of clients and projects. We are seeking numerous archaeological staff reporting to our offices in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada.

• Support archaeological field directors and project managers with pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring.
• Exhibit good field skills and ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Identify and record archaeological potential, sites, and traditional use sites.
• Collect appropriate field data.
• Support construction planning.

• Willingness to learn, flexibility, good communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to travel out-of-town for up to 2 weeks.
• Knowledge of State issued forms.
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS units or equivalent and software.
• Completed archaeological field school or equivalent training.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in remote or hot/dry environments.
• Experience working with Native American groups.
• Familiarity with field applications like Survey
  123, Collector.
• Specialization in Section 106 compliance on federal lands.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to safety culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
• Minimum of 1 year CRM experience.
• Experience with small and large archaeological crews.

The role involves typical office work with computers and fieldwork in various weather conditions. Responsibilities may change as needed.
