Position: CDL Crane Operator (Fort Collins, CO)

Sterling Crane LLC, a division of Marmon Holdings (Berkshire Hathaway), is a leading provider of heavy lift equipment. We are seeking a CDL Crane Operator to join our Fort Collins, CO branch.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the appropriate selection and set‑up of crane, lift or hoist.
  • Inspect and assess ground conditions as well as potential overhead obstructions.
  • Maintain equipment through daily inspections, routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain logs and records of operational activities.
  • Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes.
  • Class A CDL – required.
  • Dependable and reliable, with flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
  • Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, safety regulations, and to maintain records.
  • Strong ability to work well within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly.
  • Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather, including extreme heat and cold.

Hourly Compensation: $30.00 – $42.00 DOE

Pay Range: $28.80 – $35.20 per hour.
