High Plains Steel Services is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to spearhead steel erection and installation projects.
In this role, you will manage ironworkers and subcontractors, ensuring every project is executed excellently, on schedule, and within budget.
Pay Range: $36.00/hr – $44.00/hr

- Oversee erection projects: manage crews, subcontractors, and site logistics to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Ensure safety compliance: conduct safety meetings, enforce PPE use, and follow strict safety protocols.
- Maintain quality control: oversee inspections and ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and AISC standards.
- Lead and supervise teams: train, mentor, and hold ironworkers accountable for performance and safety.
- Manage documentation: complete reports, track expenses, and ensure accurate record‑keeping for every project.

- 3+ years of experience as an Ironworker.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of steel erection, rigging, and welding.
- Leadership and communication skills to run a tight, efficient team.
- Tekla EPM software experience preferred.
- Prior leadership or foreman experience preferred.

The work is stressful and will include performing tasks in a combination of indoor and outdoor conditions, at heights, and varying weather. Tasks involve climbing, bending, sitting, standing, crouching, reaching overhead, heavy lifting up to 60 lbs frequently, and being on your feet for up to 12 hours per day. You will often be in a noisy and dirty environment due to materials and machinery.
Performance of these tasks will be required in all types of weather conditions.
