OVERVIEW:The Journeyman directs the tasks of Apprentices and potentially other Journeymen electricians, participating in commercial electrical construction and service work.
- COMPENSATION: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour

- Arrive on time daily with appropriate attire and tools
- Keep work area clean
- Install quality workmanship neatly and accurately
- Respect tools and equipment
- Work and climb ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
- Identify electrical parts and components
- Perform strenuous physical tasks such as digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, and climbing
- Stay current with evolving technology and electrical codes
- Wear tools and safety equipment as required
- Work in all weather conditions
A functional physical exam must be completed and passed before starting work. Requirements include:
- Driving, sitting, climbing
- Lifting (up to 50 lbs from floor to chest, waist), carrying (up to 50 lbs)
- Overhead lifting (up to 30 lbs each arm)
- Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking
- Vision acuity (near, far, color vision)
- Trimming and final installation work
- Pushing and pulling (up to 100 lbs)
- Four years of apprenticeship training or three years plus a two-year technical college degree in a related field
- Journeyman Wireman’s license from Wyoming or reciprocating state
- High energy and a sense of urgency preferred
