SHIFT:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic supports a collaborative maintenance team of approximately five technicians to ensure smooth operation of facility equipment and systems. This role performs routine and preventive maintenance, assists with equipment moves on the production floor, and learns and applies HVAC processes while working with a variety of mechanical systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Support the facility maintenance team in maintaining mechanical equipment and building systems to ensure reliable operations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including regular inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and minor repairs to maintain optimal system performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial and facility equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Set up, adjust, and repair machines and equipment used within the facility, ensuring proper operation and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues using standard diagnostic tools and procedures, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Assist with moving equipment and machines on the facility floor as needed, following safe handling and relocation practices.
- Learn and apply HVAC processes under guidance, supporting the maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
- Document maintenance and repair activities accurately in service logs and maintenance records to ensure proper tracking and compliance.
- Communicate equipment status, maintenance needs, and safety concerns clearly to team members and supervisors.
- Collaborate with other technicians to prioritize work orders and respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $33.17/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
