We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Transportation Safety Coordinator to join our Fort Collins, CO team. In this key role, you’ll help ensure our drivers operate safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

The Transportation Safety Coordinator supports all aspects of safety and compliance for our Fort Collins operations. You’ll conduct driver road tests, manage compliance documentation, oversee training programs, and ensure adherence to company and contractual safety standards. This role plays a vital part in promoting a culture of safety and accountability across our organization.

• Conduct driver road tests and contract road audits to ensure safe performance
• Oversee drug and alcohol testing compliance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver qualification files
• Provide weekly safety coaching and lead driver safety meetings
• Track and ensure training compliance for drivers and staff
• Lead bi-monthly safety meetings for office and management teams
• Collaborate with operations to ensure adequate driver coverage for special accounts and routes
• Perform monthly data analysis for contract performance and safety trends
• Ensure compliance with all City of Fort Collins contracts , including Dial-A-Ride, Dial-A-Taxi, Foothills Gateway Shuttle, and Fixed Route services
• Manage accident reporting , collect required documentation, and coordinate with insurance adjusters
• Respond to driver and staff inquiries via email, phone, or other communication channels
• Support other safety and compliance tasks as assigned

• Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct thorough and fair road tests and safety audits
• Experience in data tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Proven skills in training, coaching, and employee development
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively across departments
