Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift assignment in Arizona, requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and active AZ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Covers 11-bed Main ED, 6-bed ED Fast Track, and 7-bed ED Observation Unit
- Nurses rotate daily through Main ED, Fast Track, Observation, Triage, Quick Registration, and Entry Screening
- Assignment may include assisting at Covid testing or immunization clinics
- 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm) with flexibility to float to other shifts as needed
- Schedule is typically 7 days on and 7 days off, alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week
- Floating to other departments may be required as needed
- All ED nurses are expected to rotate through various areas and may be assigned based on unit needs
- Responsibilities may include patient care in triage, quick registration, and entry screening
- May be required to support Covid testing and immunization clinics as needed
- Travelers must attend Monday orientation and meet compliance deadlines to start
- A maximum of one week of requested time off (RTO) is permitted during contract
- Active AZ or compact state RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ENPC certifications required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
- Conscious sedation certification required (may be obtained at facility post-confirmation for a fee)
