We are looking for part‑time (up to 29 hrs/week) Respite Providers to provide respite care services in the Council Bluffs area (Pottawattamie, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Cass or Shelby counties). The purpose of respite care is to give the parent or primary caregiver a break from the daily responsibilities of caring for a child or adult with a disability.

Flexible hours – you set your own schedule working directly with families and can work from home after initial training. Availability for evenings, weekends and occasional long hours is required. This position is ideal for college students, those building experience, or anyone looking to give back or earn supplemental income. Consistent communication with families is required.

• Provide all care required for a child or adult with a disability while their parent or guardian is absent.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, home‑based environment.
• Conduct respite care in the client’s home for a maximum of 16 hrs per day.
• Respond to family requests for respite – hours may be sporadic with no guaranteed work.
• Document care and punch in/out for timekeeping.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Basic computer skills; access to computer, tablet or cellphone for documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
