Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures with experienced cardiovascular staff; scope could include both interventional and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and ensure seamless continuity of care for patients
  • Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up appointments in the clinic setting
  • Participate in hospital rounds to monitor and manage the progress of hospitalized patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding cardiovascular health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment plans
  • Stay abreast of advancements in cardiology research, technology, and treatment modalities through continuing education and professional development activities
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
