Jump into hands‑on care for adult and geriatric patients, supporting the RN and LPN with everything from daily routines to admissions and discharges. Help keep things running smoothly with vital tasks like glucose checks, EKGs, and tracking intake & output. You’ll document care in the eMAR, take part in purposeful rounding, and be part of the team that’s always looking to learn, educate, and improve how we do things.

Responsibilities- Assist the registered nurse with the admission assessment by obtaining temperature, respiration, height, weight, pulse, and blood pressure and orient the patient to room and unit.
- Attend to patients’ daily hygiene, including oral care, hair care, baths, peri care, and application of glasses, dentures, and hearing aids.
- Assist with passing meals, nourishment, water, and patient assistance as needed.
- Acknowledge and meet patients’ needs regarding movement and elimination.
- Function in day‑to‑day and emergency situations in accordance with nursing standards and as assigned by the nurse.
- Maintain orderly storage of supplies and assist in accounting for chargeable items.
- Document temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and diet consumption in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Perform Glucose Point of Care.
- Perform EKGs.
- Apply telemetry equipment to patients using proper lead placement and discontinue equipment use.
- Seventy‑five (75) Hour Nursing Assistant Course preferred.
- Certificate from an approved Nursing Assistant Course is preferred.
- Exercise good judgment, maintain effective interpersonal relationships, and adapt to change.
- Organize work.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment.
- Basic Life Support completion required.
- Provide nursing care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients.
- Member of Support Stroke team requiring 2 hours of annual stroke education.
