Clinic Nurse (RN) – Family Medicine, 2nd Avenue – Fort Dodge, IA
40 hours per week, full‑time benefits. Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 for external candidates.

Responsibilities- Assist provider and clinical staff with obtaining vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical skills necessary for assigned duties.
- Draw and collect blood and other samples; prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Apply Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) within licensure guidelines.
- Provide telephone triage, document advice for home care; conduct follow‑up calls.
- Administer vaccines and ordered medications by oral, IM, SQ, s.
- Place urinary catheters and IV per protocol and license.
- Schedule referrals for patients; complete appropriate forms or requisitions; CPT/ICD coding.
- Understand inpatient and outpatient specialty procedures; comply with precertification requirements.
- Track system for follow‑up appointments related to office visits, labs, procedures; monitor disease status.
- Provide appropriate and timely documentation in patient’s electronic health record.
- Supervise delegated duties to LPN and CMA on approved clinical protocols.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurse.
- High school diploma required if work performed in a complex CLIA lab.
License(s)/Certification(s)
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa for Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
