American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• Center for Acute Care unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts with an 1845 start time
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Unit manages drips including cardiac, heparin, and insulin with some titration

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required
• Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
