American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience and willingness to float to ER and ICU as needed.

• Center for Acute Care unit (3N) in an acute care hospital setting
• Caring for all post-surgical and post-cath patient populations
• Unit utilizes cardiac, heparin, and insulin drips with some titration
• Day shift, 3x12s with a 0645 start time
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 hours guaranteed
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses, including ER and ICU

• Active RN license (IA or compact)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• One supervisory reference required, dated within 2 years of employment/contract
• Driver's license required, with taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Level 3 trauma center
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Limited time-off requests accepted during peak holiday periods
• No locals accepted; all candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates employed by UnityPoint Health (FTE or PRN) within the past 12 months are not eligible
