Winn Companies is looking for a Warehouse Specialist III to join our military housing team at Fort Knox, KY
.

In this role, you will use our electronic purchasing system to purchase equipment materials, supplies, and tools, generate purchase orders, and place orders directly with vendors and suppliers. You will also utilize system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed and provide troubleshooting and support with technicians to manage truck stock, which requires an advanced knowledge of inventory and the electronic management system.

Please note that this position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL , effective May 7, 2025, a REAL  driver's license/ required in order to access the federal facility.

Responsibilities
  • Purchase equipment materials, supplies, and tools using electronic purchasing system to generate purchase orders and place orders directly with vendors and suppliers.
  • Utilize system reorder function to properly order quantities of products needed.
  • Utilize Yardi management system to manage, issue, and order all inventory and equipment as per guidelines.
  • Ensure that warehouse(s) are properly stocked and inventory levels are maintained in accordance with the current maintenance activities of the project.
  • Ensure that company policies are followed for purchasing, receiving and stocking materials.
  • Responsible for special order purchases.
  • Work with team members to troubleshoot inventory and truck stock issues.
  • Support providing supplies to technicians and employees for maintenance activities by issuing equipment materials, supplies, and tools physically and electronically.
  • Maintain the warehouse by stocking and receiving materials, supplies, and tools, both physically and electronically.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe, clean, and tidy warehouse and maintenance facilities.
  • Comply with proper safety and environmental policies for storage and recording and reporting requirements (including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials).
  • Maintain tool and equipment logs for all project-owned tools. Ensure all are maintained in working order. Inform Maintenance Manager of Director of Maintenance of tool and equipment requirements.
  • Support regular warehouse and vehicle inventories in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain refuse and recycling collections for maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to be logical and analytical.
  • Ability to utilize a mobile device effectively.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • Purchasing and warehouse experience.
