Solar Staff Accountant

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Aligned Solutions is seeking a Solar Staff Accountant for a well respected company. The Solar Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing general ledger reconciliations for multiple entities, while maintaining and entering corporate-level journal entries. This role collaborates across teams to ensure financial integrity and supports financial reporting efforts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations for assigned accounts/companies
• Enter and update corporate-related journal entries
• Maintain and update fixed asset records
• Update monthly reconciliations
• Prepare interim financial statements for related companies
• Assist with year-end external audit and tax returns
• Respond to inquiries, conduct research as needed, participate in special projects, and provide ad-hoc financial analysis
• Assist in the preparation of division and project budgets, including monitoring variances between budgeted and actual expenditures
• Conduct monthly closing activities by ensuring all journal entries are posted on time and aligned with the financial close calendar
• Assist in the management of deposits, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivables, accruals, and reserves to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Review and reclassify overhead accounts monthly
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 1–3 years of work experience in a Financial Accounting department
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with strong multi-tasking ability
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
