Senior HOA Accountant
Join a fast‑growing, innovative hospitality company transforming the timeshare experience. As we continue to integrate new resorts and expand our product offerings, we’re looking for a senior HOA accountant eager to grow, take on new challenges, and shape our HOA accounting operations.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using fund accounting.
- Develop HOA board reports and support various ad‑hoc reporting needs.
- Collaborate across departments to gather data, enhance accuracy, and streamline processes.
- Manage GL coding, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end close.
- Maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Complete bank reconciliations and various supporting schedules.
- Handle payroll and other accruals as needed.
- Support AR processes, including invoicing and payment postings.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Assist with annual audits, including research and document collection.
- Support forecasting, business reviews, and proforma reporting.
- Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and automation within accounting workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- A self‑starter mindset with the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time‑management skills—especially in a remote environment.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and clearly document variances.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office.
- Ability to build and use complex Excel/Sheets models (pivot tables, formulas, etc.) with minimal instruction.
- Experience in HOA, hospitality, timeshare, vacation rental, or travel is a plus.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or is a plus.
