An established publicly traded company is searching for an Accounting Manager to support and lead core accounting operations. This role is well-suited for a seasoned accounting professional currently operating in a Managerial or Supervisory capacity within a public accounting firm or a large, complex corporate environment.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this individual will take ownership of the close process, provide hands‑on leadership to the accounting team, and contribute to the continued strengthening of accounting processes and controls.

• Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness
• Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight for accounting staff
• Ensure consistency and quality across general ledger activities and balance Legislative reconciliations
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial reporting and operational needs
• Partner with external auditors and support audit‑related requests
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Lead and contribute to special projects and technical accounting initiatives as needed

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or a large corporate accounting environment
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role with direct reports
• Strong technical accounting foundation, including general ledger management and account analysis
• Experience in U.S. SEC financial reporting is a plus
• CPA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to review, challenge, and elevate the work of others
• Experience operating in structured, deadline‑driven close environments
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Net Suite or similar ERP systems preferred
• Clear, professional communication style with the ability to work effectively across levels of the organization
