Bookkeeper

I’m partnering with an established construction company seeking a Construction Bookkeeper to support its accounting and daily financial operations. This opportunity is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands‑on bookkeeping, keeping project costs organized, and working closely with ownership and project teams.

The Construction Bookkeeper will maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support billing, payroll, and month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense coding.
• Prepare customer invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Record expenses by job and maintain accurate project cost records.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
• Process or coordinate payroll and maintain supporting records.
• Track subcontractor documentation, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.
• Support month-end close and coordinate with the company’s accountant or CPA.

Qualifications:

• Previous bookkeeping experience within construction or a contractor business.
• Working knowledge of Quick Books or comparable accounting software.
• Experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll, and job costing.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
