Purpose:
Contributes to the university's success by providing administrative services and/or coordinating activities for College of Pharmacy's assigned department. Supports the Associate Dean, Research, and Assistant Dean, Pharmacy Services.

Essential Job Functions:- Coordinates activities with other supervisory personnel or with other work units or departments.
- Performs general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records in management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
- Uses computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
- Performs administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
- Prepares responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
- Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
- Operates telephone equipment to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Schedules and confirms appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors.
- Arranges conference, meeting, or travel reservations for office personnel.
- Coordinates conferences, meetings, or special events, such as luncheons or student ceremonies.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Clerical – Thorough knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Customer and Personal Service – Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; data entry skills;
Internet research abilities. - General knowledge of office practices and procedures (e.g., filing, answering telephones, and supply/equipment ordering).
