Position Summary

Position Summary: The Coordinator, Tech Ops Administrative reports to the Manager Administrative and is responsible for carrying out assigned duties using Jet Blue guidelines and processes. The Coordinator, Tech Ops Administrative provides administrative support to all Tech Ops hourly crew members, which includes Maintenance, Quality Control and Material crew members or Maintenance Operations Center (MOC), as well as support for the maintenance, materials and MOC leadership.

The Coordinator, Tech Ops Administrative is highly organized, attentive to detail and can work under minimal supervision in a highly pressured environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Processes and submits payroll for all hourly crew members in on a weekly basis
  • Updates work schedules to ensure minimum manpower requirements are met; if not, posts and awards overtime slots
  • Creates and maintains departments filing system
  • Monitors office supply inventory and orders as necessary; ensures received supplies are correct and expensed appropriately
  • Assists Tech Ops leadership in tracking crew members’ time and attendance records
  • Addresses crew members’ requests and needs in a professional manner providing follow up
  • Handles all aspects of meeting and event coordination
  • Responsible for completing the return to work check list for all crew members coming back to work after a 30 day or more leave
  • Schedules, tracks and reminds crew members of any outstanding training
  • Assists with company and station
  • Provides administrative support to leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of customer service, administrative support, or office support experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel in develop and report metrics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing information quickly
  • Ability to work independently, under minimal supervision, in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is required to perform job duties at Spanish-speaking stations.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in Aviation
  • Two (2) years of customer service, administrative support, or office support experience
Crew member Expectations
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on Jet Blue flights, and if time permits, all capable crew members are asked to assist with light cleaning of aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Jet Blue culture, that is, exhibit the Jet Blue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote Jet Blue’s #1 value of safety Ambassador, supporting Jet Blue’s Safety Management System (SMS components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Jet Blue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation
  • The base pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour. Base pay is one component of Jet Blue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crew member stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on Jet Blue, and more.
