South Florida | ESOP | Long-Term Leadership Opportunity
My General Contractor client is seeking an experienced Project Executive to join a growing, employee-owned construction company in South Florida. This is a senior leadership opportunity designed for a construction professional who has built a strong career within larger organizations and is now perhaps looking to apply that experience in a smaller, more agile environment where they secure more ownership, more influence and a lasting impact.
This is very much a long-term, wealth-building opportunity with a defined pathway toward executive leadership for the right individual (2-3 years). This General Contractor is a privately held ESOP with a clear growth strategy for 2026 and this role is very much a priority for the board. The business operates primarily in the commercial and industrial space, delivering tilt-up construction, tenant fit-outs and build-outs, and specialized facilities including aerospace and industrial repair centers.
The culture is collaborative, hands-on, and intentionally non-corporate, with a strong emphasis on flexibility, accountability, and shared ownership.
- Lead and heavily support preconstruction efforts, planning, and execution strategy
- Mentor and support project managers, superintendents & project teams
- Partner with senior leadership to improve operations and scale the business
- Participate in business development, client relationships, and growth initiatives
- Help shape company culture, systems, and long-term strategic direction
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded construction leader with senior-level experience in project execution and operations, supported by strong preconstruction and business development capabilities. Experience with in larger general contractors is valuable, particularly for candidates seeking to move away from rigid corporate structures and toward a more entrepreneurial environment.
The role offers a competitive base salary appropriate for a growing company, performance-based incentives tied to company and project success, and meaningful long-term upside through ESOP participation. A full benefits package is provided, including health insurance and a 401(k) with company match.
