We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in healthcare or commercial interior design. This role involves leading the interior design process, developing creative concepts, managing project phases, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare design standards, exceptional design skills, and the ability to create spaces that support healing and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design Leadership:
Lead the interior design process for healthcare projects, from concept to completion, ensuring that designs align with project goals and adhere to industry standards. - Client
Collaboration:
Engage with clients to understand their vision, goals, and functional needs, presenting design concepts and material options that meet their expectations and enhance the healthcare environment. - Material & Finish Selection:
Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet healthcare standards, durability, and aesthetic objectives. - Documentation & Quality Control:
Oversee the preparation of detailed interior design drawings, renderings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality. - Team Mentorship:
Mentor junior interior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering professional growth within the team. - Vendor & Consultant Coordination:
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors to integrate interior elements seamlessly into the project design and maintain project timelines. - Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all designs meet building codes, ADA requirements, and healthcare‑specific guidelines (e.g., FGI Guidelines) and contribute to a safe, accessible environment. - Project Management:
Assist in managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for interior design aspects of projects, ensuring deliverables align with project goals and schedules.
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited program. - Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of interior design experience, with at least 4 years in healthcare or commercial design. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D modeling and rendering software (Sketch Up, Enscape) is a plus. - Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of interior design principles, healthcare codes, ADA standards, and building regulations. - Soft Skills:
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills; ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and coordinate with other project stakeholders. - Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and dedication to quality, with a commitment to designing interiors that enhance functionality and user experience.
