Summary
The Pediatric Chief Resident Physician provides program-level administrative support, clinical teaching, and supervision to the Pediatric Residents. This one-year position starts June 30th. With oversight of the Program Director the Chief Resident will be one of the leaders of the residency program and work collaboratively with the Program Director, Associate Program Directors, Faculty, and GME Leadership on the administration of the program.
The Pediatric residency program follows the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competencies, designed to encourage excellence and innovation in graduate medical education.

- Graduate of a medical school in the United States or Canada, accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), or graduate of a College of Osteopathic Medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOACOCA), or graduate of a medical school outside of the United States or Canada and meeting one of the following additional qualifications:
Holds a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) prior to appointment; or holds a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States licensing jurisdiction in which the ACGME-accredited program is located. - Completed training at an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency program and is in good standing by the start of the academic year. The Pediatric Chief must not be currently engaged in a Match agreement with another program by July 1st.
