Position goal:
The Head Coach will lead the supplemental girls track program, providing instruction, coaching, and mentorship to student-athletes.
As the Head Coach, you will:
- Develop and implement training plans for the girls track team.
- Teach proper technique, strategy, and sportsmanship.
- Coordinate practices, meets, and team logistics.
- Evaluate and support student performance and growth.
The candidate must meet the following:
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate. If not holding this certificate, the applicant must obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
- Have knowledge of track and field and the ability to impart this knowledge to participants.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
Experience in coaching track and field and experience working with high school athletes will be considered an asset.
