St. Helen Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time 1st Grade Teacher
, for the current 2025-26 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach elementary school. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for an elementary school teacher and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.

• BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
• Florida department of Education Elementary K-5 teaching certificate, temporary or professional required.
• Proficiency with Apple technologies such as iPad.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  PowerPoint a plus.
• Strong presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
