Job DescriptionEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach STAT 211 in person at our Fort Lauderdale, FL campus. Course focuses on descriptive and inferential statistics; identify data types and sampling techniques; compute and interpret measures of central tendency, dispersion, elementary probability, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests and linear regressions.
ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications, including official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry experience.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver in-person instruction for STAT 211 at the Fort Lauderdale campus.
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Adhere to ERAU policies, course objectives, and quality standards.
- Doctor’s or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a Master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
- Appropriate Certification: N/A
- Degrees within the teaching discipline:
Statistics (MS or PhD), Statistics Education, Biostatistics. - Related Discipline:
Mathematics, Operations Research, Social Science (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Health).
