The Permanent Substitute will work in the capacity for which they are scheduled. As a teacher substitute, the individual will teach, train, lead, guide, and follow the lesson plans to properly educate the grade level(s) in their care. As a TA substitute, the individual will follow the lead of the teacher and fulfill all the tasks, that they are assigned. These could be clerical tasks, supervision tasks, and class coverage tasks as needed.

As a substitute, the individual must take ownership of the assigned role so that students are always well supervised and taught per the provided plans and or well assisted as in the role of TA.

The position is multifaceted in that the individual takes on the tasks of another staff member who is absent. This position requires working with students Pre-Kindergarten through High School, including VE. As a permanent substitute, this person is in constant contact with children, school staff, parents, and church staff.

• All teachers are responsible for erasing their whiteboards at the end of each teaching day (good stewardship element)
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
