Job Description
The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering team in delivering innovative solutions within the contract electronics manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will oversee design, development, and production processes while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of electronic products and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and quality assurance, to meet
customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve
efficiency and product quality.
• Serve as the technical liaison between the company and clients, addressing technical inquiries and resolving
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, technical presentations, and cost
estimations.
• Establish and maintain documentation for processes, designs, and testing.
• Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve product and process reliability.
Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of PCB design, assembly, and testing processes.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in CAD tools and ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
