. The position is available at any location in the United States; ideally selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office but we intend to hire the "best" candidates. We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team.
As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll grow your skills and collaborate with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines. You’ll convey structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models. In addition, you’ll have the chance to lead a small project team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training, developing your team, and building and maintaining morale.
You will be part of a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world‑class designs for well‑known clients around the world.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
- At least 1 year of Revit experience
- At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience
- At least 2 years of Revit experience
- Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures
- Experience leading a team of Designers
- Experience with healthcare/institutional/commercial buildings
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam

CompensationBase salary range: $61,100.00 to $84,000.00 per year. Pay is hourly based on hours worked and determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
