• Review of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design documents such as drawings, Specifications (Specs), the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), and Basis of Design (BOD) to evaluate energy efficiency;
• Perform measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro-commissioning;
• Provide,prepare and develop Pre-Functional and Functional Testing forms in compliance with green building practices;
• Collect data for energy conservation analyses, usingjobsiteobservation, field inspections, or submetering.
• Periodic visits to site for observation and acceptance of pre-Functional tests;
• Inspect ormonitorenergysystem, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) todetermineenergy use or potential energy savings.
• Carry out Functional Tests (FT) of MEP equipment on site to verify the proper installation of new orrelocatedHVAC equipment per green building practices;
• Prepare energy-related project reports or related documentation; and
• Prepare documents such as Current Facility Requirement (CFR) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) plan, Systems Manual, Ongoing Commissioning (Cx) plan,Cxsummary report etc.

Education and

Experience:

Employerrequiresa Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and at least two years of commissioning experience in the building industry.

In addition, the employer requires the following:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore,Blue Rithmand Building Management Systems gained through two years of work experience;
• Demonstrated ability using an infrared thermometer and light meter gained through two years of work experience;
• Demonstrated ability to perform peer reviews of construction documents, mechanical,electrical and plumbing drawings gained through at least two years of work experience;
• Demonstrated abilityidentifyingand troubleshooting issues during field observations, communicating with owner and/or contractor gained through at least two years of work experience; and
• Must have LEED AP certification or must be eligible to be certified by Green Business Certification Inc.
• All years of experience may be gained concurrently
• Telecommuting isan option, but the individual must be in-office three (3) days per week and mustresidein the Fort Lauderdale region.
• Travel:
  No more than eight days of domestic travel per year.
