Job Description Vessel Compliance Officer Yacht Management Fort Lauderdale, Florida All applicants must the right to live and work in the United States to be considered.

An excellent opportunity to join a leading global yacht management company based in Fort Lauderdale.

As part of the Vessel Compliance team, you will support the safe and compliant operation of a fleet of managed yachts, ensuring all certification and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

The Role:

Work closely with Captains, DPAs and Technical Managers on all compliance matters

Monitor vessel compliance with USCG, Flag State and international regulations (IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification, safety documentation, manuals and inspection records

Track and manage expiry of licenses, surveys, insurance and safety equipment; coordinate renewals

Support vessels through audits, Flag inspections, Port State Control and class surveys

Act as a key point of contact for owners, crew and internal teams on compliance queries

Provide guidance on flag registration, documentation and crew certification requirements

About You:

Experience in yacht management, vessel operations or maritime compliance, and/or sailing experience at Officer level, and/or shore-based experience in a similar role Strong working knowledge of maritime regulations and standards

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with crew, owners and regulatory bodies

Willing to travel to vessels, marinas and shipyards as required

Desirable:

STCW certification, maritime degree or similar

Familiarity with ISM systems and yacht safety management

Experience with private or charter yachts
