Stagehand Local 500

Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling, and operation of stage equipment during a production.

• Load and unload props and materials from truck dock.
• Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
• Move and rearrange furniture.
• Set up risers and musical equipment.
• Clean up stage and backstage area before and after performances.
• Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.

Position requires the ability to work at the ASM Global Facility at Broward County Convention Center, Fort Lauderdale. General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach. Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

This position is a referent of Local 500 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues as directed by the Local 500 and the work referral system in effect. This is an hourly position subject to collectively bargained union rules.
