The Regional Business Support Manager works closely with the Regional Director, Complex Directors, Branch Office Managers and their staff to execute on the Region’s business objectives. In addition, this position will liaise with key stakeholders including Private Client Group Administration [PCGA], Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, Operations, Wealth Management and other departments as required to coordinate and/or resolve operational staffing, financial advisor recruiting, and various other business matters within the assigned region.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates directly with Complex Directors and Branch Managers on financial advisor teaming and succession opportunities, complex or branch staffing. Assists with resolution and implementation of solutions
- Prepares materials for financial advisor activities including teaming, succession planning, and team dissolutions.
- Analyzes and resolves issues directly with financial advisors. May consult with Regional Director and Branch Manager as necessary on issues needing escalation.
- Collaborates with Complex Directors and Branch Managers through consistent checkpoints including regional Webex and/or monthly calls. Follows up on needs and items in progress.
- Coordinates with PCG Administration on regional field requests including financial advisor code changes and employee status change requests.
- Collaborates with PCG Administration on recruiting and onboarding of financial advisors for the assigned region.
- Functions as a primary liaison with Janney internal departments and lines of business on matters that impact the assigned region, including joint projects. Consults with Regional Director, Complex Directors and Branch Manager on matters and develops action plans.
- Functions as a delegate for the Regional Director in the review and approval process for preferred margin rate requests and enhanced payout requests.
- Generates and maintain ad hoc reports to assist in budgeting, business planning, recruiting, staffing/headcount, and compliance supervision processes.
- Leads other assigned ad-hoc projects and administrative assignments as needed.
What you have:
- Five or more years’ experience in financial services, preferably in a broker-dealer environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance strongly preferred, but not required
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources and Management
- FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proficiency in utilizing enterprise communication tools including Web Ex
- Excellent oral written and communication skills
- Superior time management and organizational skills
