As a Senior Associate at Equiturn, you will play a critical role in driving transaction execution, managing and overseeing deal processes, and providing strategic financial advisory across M&A, capital raising, and complex financial structuring. You will take ownership of valuation analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence, working directly with senior leadership, institutional investors, and corporate executives to structure and execute high-impact transactions.
In this role, you will be expected to lead multiple deal work streams, oversee transaction execution, and mentor junior professionals, ensuring analytical precision and execution excellence. This position offers direct exposure to high-stakes negotiations, financial structuring, and strategic decision-making. A successful Senior Associate will demonstrate clear leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities Deal Ownership and Execution- Lead day-to-day execution of M&A, capital raising, and complex structuring mandates from mandate award through closing
- Coordinate and manage work streams across analysts, legal, tax, and other advisors, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
- Anticipate issues, identify risks, and drive solutions across the transaction lifecycle
- Direct, coach, and develop analysts on live deals and pitches
- Assign and prioritize work, set expectations, and ensure output is accurate, well-structured, and on time
- Provide ongoing feedback and help build a strong internal execution culture
- Oversee the preparation of pitch materials, CIMs, management presentations, and investor documentation
- Review financial models, valuation outputs, and support materials prepared by junior team members
- Ensure consistency between models, presentations, and supporting materials across a given transaction
- Translate detailed analysis into clear recommendations for internal and client decision-making
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, investors, and counter parties
- Prepare and lead portions of client and investor calls, management presentations, and diligence sessions
- Build trust-based relationships through responsiveness, clarity, and reliable execution under pressure
- Supervise market and sector research to support positioning, valuation, and strategic recommendations
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field with a strong academic record.
- Series 79 license required.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling (LBO, DCF, IPO modeling).
- Experience with valuation methodologies and financial tools, including Bloomberg Terminal, Capital
IQ, and other investment banking data platforms. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and transaction structuring.
- 3+ years of experience at a reputable investment banking firm, with significant exposure to M&A, capital raises, restructurings, and general advisory services.
- Proven ability to lead deal teams and execute transactions independently.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Good leadership and mentoring skills to support junior team members.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while maintaining attention to detail.
