Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations. Key duties include preparing financial statements and reports, reconciling bank accounts, monitoring compliance with government requirements, and maintaining balanced ledgers for routine reporting.
What You'll Be Doing:- Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by collecting and analyzing data from the general ledger and various departments
- Maintain and reconcile the automated consolidation system, including data entry, scheduling, and validation
- Develop and review spreadsheet reports to analyze financial information and confirm accuracy
- Record general ledger entries, maintain supporting documentation, and reconcile accounts
- Process payments by accruing expenses, requesting disbursements, and reconciling related accounts
- Post transactions and classify records in the general ledger (e.g., assets, liabilities, expenses)
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of cash records
- Analyze financial transactions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare documentation and reports to support audits
- Implement new accounting policies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Bachelors of Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 2+ Years of Stable Work History within Accounting.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
