This Operations Review Specialist position is a hearing officer role with the Department of Children and Families that conducts administrative hearings related to departmental and Agency for Persons with Disabilities actions. The hearing officer must ensure fair and complete proceedings under the Administrative Procedures Act, develop the evidentiary record, and issue written decisions applying law to facts. The role is based in Fort Lauderdale and requires knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, and agency policies.
Keyqualifications:
- High school diploma and 4 or more years of experience as a Hearing Officer (or equivalent degree)
- Experience as a Hearing Officer utilizing the Uniform Rules of Administrative Procedure
- Experience making eligibility determinations for applicants of public assistance
- Valid Driver License
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
