Summary:The Infection Preventionist directs interventions that protect patients from healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) in clinical and other settings. The Senior Nurse Infection Preventionist collaborates with clinicians and administrators to improve patient outcomes and reduce HAIs and related adverse events. This role supervises and coordinates the functions of staff within the department.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing obtained through a formal 4-year program
- Experience: Five years of related experience
- Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN); CIC certification preferred or to be obtained within 1 year of employment
