• Work with adolescents (ages 5‑17) to help them overcome psychological/emotional issues and substance abuse problems.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct family sessions to improve outcomes for patients and their families post‑discharge.
• Recognize crisis situations and provide interventions.
• Collaborate with peers, administrators, physicians, and allied staff.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited school in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling; license preferred.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience working in a hospital or psychiatric counseling setting with adults and/or adolescents.

• Must be a Registered Intern with the State of Florida and provide a supervisory agreement.
• LCSW, LMHC, or CAP – preferred.
• CPR certification.

• Strong therapeutic skills and knowledge of group and individual treatment philosophies.
• Working knowledge of developmental stages.
• Minimal knowledge of community resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of varied comprehension levels.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to intervene in various situations.
• Sensitivity and awareness of diverse cultures and practices.
