Location: Medicare Part B visits – Ft. Lauderdale, Sunrise, Hollywood, Hallandale Beach area – PRN
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay: $42.50-$47.50 per visit

Position Summary: We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in‑home care for Medicare Part B patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, help patients improve daily‑living skills, functional independence, and safety, and provide education to patients and caregivers.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide skilled interventions to improve patients’ daily living skills, functional independence, and safety.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and fall‑prevention strategies.
- Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with Medicare Part B guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and the home health/therapy team.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and report progress or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment during home visits.
Qualifications:
- Active COTA license in the state of practice.
- Experience in home health or outpatient therapy preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part B documentation and regulations.
- Strong patient care, treatment implementation, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans accurately and report patient progress.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible, home‑based schedule.
- CPR and other relevant certifications as required.
